What can I expect?

How long is a Brazos CHURCH service?

In total, a typical Brazos Church service is about 75 minutes in length. Services begin with us singing songs in community that remind us of God's greatness, teach us biblical truths, and help us respond to God's love for us. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the musical worship time of our service is finished, one of our teaching pastors will come out to share a biblical, encouraging, and hope-filled message about Jesus that you can apply to every aspect of your life. We end our gathering time remembering Jesus' gift of true life through celebrating communion and praying for anyone who requests it.

What's the culture like at brazos Church?

By now you've probably noticed the phrase in our logo, "everyone gets to play." It's just a simply way of explaining God's purpose of the Church as a global community of faith where He is made famous through everyone participating in His plan to restore and reconcile the world. God loves watching normal people do extraordinary things in the power of His name regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, or background. Everyone gets to play!

What about my kids?

One of our strongest commitments at the Brazos Church is to love children and to teach them to experience and participate in the kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is everywhere that God is King, which means if we let God have His way in our lives, the Kingdom of God is in us. So we spent time modeling and teaching kids who God is, what his will is, how he loves us, and how we can let him have His way in our lives. We firmly believe that children are not just the church of the future, but also the church of the present. You'll see our kids serving side-by-side with adults on Sundays mornings!

The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Everyone that works with children is required to go through a background check each year. We have a simple check-in process for your children the first time that you visit so you’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in at our welcome station in our lobby. Teaching is offered at every church service for kids ages infant through elementary school. Even though children are offered to go to their classroom after our musical worship time, they are always free to remain in the service with you. We love seeing families worship and learning together! Click here for more information on how we can help support your children in their spiritual journey.
