THE BRAZOS CHURCH COVID-19 RESPONSE

Our Story

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Here's the deal, The Brazos Church cares about one thing more than anything else; serving as a bridge to point people to Jesus Christ. We are a diverse family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same hope, love, and restoration that only God can provide.

What's with the name?

Our church gets its name from the nearby Brazos River that winds through our community. It was originally called the Rio de los Brazos de Dios (translated as "The River of the Arms of God") by early Spanish explorers. We believe that our church is to be 'the arms of God' in our central Ft. Bend county area , loving and welcoming to everyone; serving and the spiritual and physical needs of our community.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Brazos Church has answered God's call to build bridges; we connect people to Jesus, welcoming them into God's family, teach people how to grow into mature followers of Jesus, and equip people for God's purposes in the Church and the world.

Where we're headed

What's the bottom line? More than ever, our dream is to be a bridge of understanding who God truly is, bringing healing and compassion to our community. We will equip people to pay attention to God working in every sphere of life—neighborhoods, work, the arts, and business—we want Fort Bend County to know Jesus, grow in relationship with Him, and fulfill God's preferred vision for the community.

What this means for you

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at the Brazos Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of our community and we will invest in you and your family.
